Cambodia - Day 3 & 4

Third day in Cambodia. We actually don't know what to do. After a day in the Angkot Wat temple complex, we were quite exhausted. So we woke up a bit late, and had breakfast at D'Wau. Then, suddenly, we had an idea, 'Why not visit the Tonle Sap Lake?'. Yup, that's the lake that your geography teacher always stressed out as the biggest man made lake in south east asia.

So we asked Sukun (our Tuk-tuk driver) on the prices of the tickets and also on the price of the tuk-tuk. And it costs about USD 12 for the boat ride, and we agreed. It was about 45 minutes from Psaa Chaa to Tonle Sap. And the boat ride tour took about 2 hours. We stopped by a few places during the boat ride such as the floating village, a restaurant, and a conservation centre.

Ok, some pictures to enjoy.

One the way back, we dropped by a lotus farm.

I didn't know that you can eat the lotus seeds until I visited the lotus farm in Cambodia. The taste of it, was a bit nutty and edible. No weird taste or whatsoever.

Fourth day in Cambodia, early in the morning, we depart back to Malaysia.

Pose with our tuk-tuk driver Sukun

I had a great time in Cambodia. That was my first time travelling overseas with my friends and backpacking of course. And it was memorable one. Although it was the dry season, there were a lot of things to see. Just that, bring your hat and shades along because it's gonna be quite a hot day; and drink a lot of water. Thanks to all my friends and the people at Cambodia for their wonderful hospitality and Sukun and Lucky for being our tuk-tuk driver.

If you guys wanna go to Cambodia, and want to hire an excellent tuk-tuk driver, I would recommend Sukun. Just ask me for his number. :)
